His Royal Highness Emorimor Papa Iteso Paul Sande Emolot Etomeileng iii has expressed his desire to establish clan based scholarship scheme to enable Ateker Youth access quality education in all levels.

Emorimor expressed this while addressing the Iteso from Kenya yesterday on Friday 20/01/2023 during the occasion of the first and memorable historical graduation ceremony of Alupe University in Kenya,

In attendance with His Royal Highness Emorimor Papa Iteso were:Prof Esamai,HE Governor Paul Otuoma, Bishop John Okude and host of Eastern Region Teso Leaders and professionals.

His Highness Emorimor Papa Iteso applauded the Government of Kenya for Supporting efforts of Ateker in promoting education up to university level. He thanked the graduants for enduring all situations untill successful completion of their academic career levels hence portraying a good example to the young generation.

According to His Royal Highness Emorimor Papa Iteso, the need to establish a clan based scholarship scheme is aimed at enabling Ateker Youth access quality education in all levels and also to produce more intellectuals in Ateker community across the globe.

"Papa Envisages launching a clan based Scholarship scheme to support Clan youth access Education opportunities available now in universities in Teso while mobilising momentum to set up Union  owned Private Colleges and Universities to support Vulnerable Children attain cheaper yet quality Education with 100% Clan Network support .Emuria Kolia"  reads part of the statement issued by the Iteso cultural union information and cultural guidance Minister, Hon Gabriel Opolot Lononge.

H.E Governor Otuoma one of the guest was impressed with the rate of progress registered by Alupe University which just got recently its Charter from former President Uhuru Kenyatta . The Governor encouraged the Youth to study highly such that they can compete in the Job international Market.

In a telephone conversation between our reporter based in Teso, The information and cultural guidance Minister reported that there are a lot of developments undergoing in Teso including the planned Launch of Apetor Ibakor Atekerin (kick poverty out of Atekerin) scheduled to take place in late January this year in serere District at Ojetenyang where His Royal Highness Emorimor Papa Iteso shall be launching irrigation scheme in Ojetenyang. 

Omong other developments are: construction of iteso chiefdom, Registration of all clans across, planned Emorimor run to raise funds for construction of Ere iteso( Teso Chiefdom), more developments on agriculture and technology, establishment a radio station for the chiefdom, establishment of Einos Sacco which infuture shall become a bank a mong others.
