Vice President Alupo Represents Uganda in the World Governing Council Summit in UAE

 



 

The Vice President  of Uganda H.E Jessica Alupo has arrived In Dubai where she is representing Uganda at the World Governing Council Summit. (WGC).

 

The Vice President who is in Dubai at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was received at Dubai International airport by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of UAE- Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other senior UAE Government officials.

 

The Vice President is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeje Odongo and the Minister of Public Service Wilson Muruli Mukasa.

 

The Global Summit Organization, running under the theme “Shaping Future Governments” is a non-profit organization that seeks to achieve several objectives by utilizing the power of innovation and technology to solve universal challenges.

 

Alupo will join 20 heads of state and other government leaders at the three (3) day summit which starts on 13th and ends on 15th Feb.

The summit witnesses the participation of presidents, governments, ministers, officials, heads of international organisations and companies, thought leaders, global experts and prominent business leaders from the private sector.

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the World Government Summit (WGS) Organisation affirmed that the World Government Summit reflects the wise vision of the President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

During a press conference held by the World Government Summit Organisation at the Museum of the Future in Dubai, the World Government Summit announced its agenda, main themes and forums.

Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi said: “In its 2023 edition, the World Government Summit will witness the participation of 20 presidents, including Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt; Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, President of the Republic of Türkiye; Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal and Chairperson of the African Union; Mario Abdo Benitez, President of the Republic of Paraguay; and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The agenda includes more than 220 sessions, where more than 300 speakers from thought leaders, global experts and decision makers from around the world will share visions and discuss ideas and strategies towards the future.
The Summit signed partnerships with more than 80 strategic, knowledge and media partners, and this year it issued 20 knowledge reports, in cooperation with the most important international research institutions.
