PM Nabbanja flags off 53 ambulances for district hospitals

The Prime Minister of Uganda Hon. Robinah Nabbanja has flagged off 53 ambulances for government hospitals in order to improve health services across the country.

The event took place at the National Records Centre and Archives in Kampala. 

Nabbanja made the revelation using her X account. "I flagged off 53 of the 116 ambulances that have been procured by our Government and Development Partners for constituencies and hospitals in the districts", she revealed.  

The PM highlighted that the remaining batch of ambulances will be delivered with time to the benefiting districts. "The 53 ambulances can now be dispatched to the beneficiary constituencies and districts but the remainder will be delivered later", she added. 

She commended the efforts in providing these ambulances noting that this is a step in the right direction towards fulfilling the 2021/26 NRM Government manifesto pledge to build a National Ambulance Service with a central command system.
