President Museveni in Tanzania for EAC Heads of State Summit

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has joined fellow East African leaders in Arusha Tanzania for the 23rd Ordinary Summit of the  EAC Heads of State.  

Museveni has revealed that he's looking forward to fruitful discussions as the leaders advance the goals of the East African Community.

According to the program released by the EAC Secretariat,  the leaders were set to hold closed door deliberations on the Agenda items & will hold a plenary where the Summit’s outcomes will be shared in a Communique .

Key items on the agenda include  Report on the Negotiations for the Admission of the Federal Republic of Somalia into EAC, Progress on report of the EAC- Led Nairobi Process on restoration of peace in Eastern DRC, Progress Report on Sustainable Financing Mechanisms of the EAC and Progress Report on the Consultations on the Constitution of the Political Confederation of the EAC.
