President Museveni Arrives in Nairobi for Africa We Build Summit 2026

President Yoweri K. Museveni has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to attend the Africa We Build Summit 2026, a high-level gathering focused on accelerating the continent’s infrastructure development.

In a statement released on his official social media account early Thursday, President Museveni confirmed his arrival and outlined the summit’s core objectives.

“I have this morning arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to attend the Africa We Build Summit 2026,” Museveni wrote. He noted that the summit brings together leaders from both the public and private sectors to discuss practical ways of moving Africa’s infrastructure agenda “from priority to implementation.”

Museveni emphasized his anticipation of engaging with fellow heads of state, investors, and development partners. Key discussion points are expected to center on strengthening cross-border collaboration to fast-track infrastructure projects critical for Africa’s socio-economic transformation.

The Africa We Build Summit 2026 comes at a time when many African nations are seeking to close the continent’s substantial infrastructure financing gap. By bridging the divide between policy planning and on-the-ground execution, the summit aims to unlock new investment models, public-private partnerships, and regional integration strategies.

President Museveni is expected to join other African leaders at the forum, which continues through the week in Kenya’s capital.
