THE KARAMOJA IRON SHEETS SCANDAL IS A TOTAL SHAME TO OUR COUNTRY

It is very unfortunate to learn that our leaders here in our precious country  Uganda have lost integrity due to greed, selfishness and lack patriotism!This is so unfortunate for our motherland and needs to be addressed with a lot of concern.

The above follows the theft of relief items that included iron sheets, food and goats which the government had channeled to KARAMOJA Sub Region after being hit by famine and other related disasters.Unfortunately,this landed into the hands of the selfish and greedy ministers who chose to take a lion's share at the expense of the suffering Karimojong.Honestlty,this is murder!Yo u cannot grab food from a hungry man,yet you have plenty in your store,then live him to starve to death!! That's corruption of the highest degree and should vehemently be condemned by government.The Anti Corruption  Act 2009 clearly states that such corruption and mismanagement of office calls for imprisonment of seven years,a fine or both.Article 118 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda clearly caters for such where it gives power to Parliament to censure a minister or any official who abuses office or mismanages it among others.Let the law take its course on the matter.

The culprits involved in this saga should be brought to book so that justice is ensured.If need be ,some of them should even be censured because of abuse of office.We shall not sit back and relax when our leaders are doing a disservice to fellow citezens.Oh Uganda,may God uphold thee!
