The Triplets Ghetto Kids are in Kigali where they’re expected to perform at the Afri-Heritage Concert and Awards-2022, scheduled to take place at the Kigali Marriott Hotel on Saturday, April 1.

The Ugandan dancers who arrived in Kigali in the evening hours of Thursday, March 30, confirmed their arrival in a video taken at the Kigali International Airport which they posted on their Instagram page.

Afri-Heritage is a platform to retell the African story through contemporary performances. And to also appreciate distinguished Africans who have projected the collective image and aspirations of the African people through their various works and profession, whilst, creating a sustainable impact that uplifts others.

The concert and awards event will be a celebration and global recognition of outstanding achievements made by people of African heritage in business, politics, philanthropy, arts and culture, science and technology, and social innovation.

The Triplets Ghetto Kids was founded in 2014 by Daouda Kavuma and is composed of children from the Katwe shantytown area in Uganda’s capital, Kampala. They have been on major platforms across the world and featured in notable videos like American rapper French Montana’s song ‘Unforgettable’.

They also performed during the World Cup tournament’s opening events in Qatar last year. And this year, they met French football player, Kylian Mbappé and were used as mascots during a Paris Saint-Germain F.C. (PSG) game, which Mbappé plays for.
