We thank God for peace in our country- Gen Muhoozi

The presidential advisor on special operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has thanked the Almighty God for the peace that prevails throughout the country to allow Ugandans to commemorate Holy Days.  

“Yesterday, Charlotte and I, along with our baby daughter, were happy to celebrate Easter with our President, Kaguta Museveni and Mama, Janet Museveni in Rwakitura.

We thank Almighty God for the peace that prevails throughout our country that allows us to commemorate Holy Days,” Muhoozi said in a Monday tweet. 

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.' 1 Peter 1:3-5,” Muhoozi added.

Religious leaders used the Easter Sunday sermons to call for good parenting, an end to greed by some political leaders and respect for the poor.

Jesus’ victory over death (sin) is the reason Christians rejoice and celebrate Easter Sunday and Monday.
