Man murders his 19 - year- old wife in ritual sacrifice

Wamala Regional Police and Mityana CPS are actively pursuing Joseph Muwanga, Kisenyi in connection with the alleged murder of his 19-year-old wife, Jesca Nakamatte.  

 Police spokesperson Fred Enanga said the incident occurred at Kitavujja LCI in Ssekanyonyi town council during the last week of October 2023, with the discovery of the victim's body at their rental premises on November 7, 2023.

 He said the grim scene revealed the victim's body, locked in the house and lying on the bed, infested with maggots.

 Shockingly, body parts, including the nose and tongue, were missing. A medical examination confirmed these disturbing details, leading to the release of the body to relatives for burial.  

Relatedly  a distressing incident unfolded in Greater Masaka as the Territorial Police and Sembabule CPS detained two suspects accused of murdering their neighbor over stolen matooke.

Oliver Nabyesero, 24, and her husband, Emmanuel Wasswa,28, residents of Lwembogo" B," Lwebitakuli sub-county, are currently in custody, over the alleged murder, according to the Police spokesperson Fred Enanga.

 He said the grim event occurred on November 11, 2023, when the victim confronted the suspects about the continuous theft of matooke from his plantation.

 "Shockingly, instead of addressing the issue, the suspects allegedly assaulted him to death. The male suspect is revealed to be the younger brother of the deceased, Rugarambi Bazirio" Enanga, said.

 He said the community is left grappling with the tragic outcome of a dispute that turned deadly within the confines of neighborly relations.
