ICT Ministry launches new innovation hub




The Ministry of ICT and National Guidance in partnership with the United Nations Development Program have launched the  new innovation hub,  the home ground of digital solutions located in Nakawa .

Housing more than 100 start ups,the hub will catalyze entrepreneurship and digital employment across the country
 

The United Nations Development Program  Resident Representative in Uganda Elsie Attafuah tasked the youth to embrace the initiative arguing that this will be a game changer in reducing the high rates of unemployment among the youth while fronting digital ideas.

“This hub will create multiple jobs for those who are unemployed while fostering and using digital Solutions,” Attafuah said.

She also pledged to work closely with the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance even while she is a way in a bid drive different digital ideas across the African region.

The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Dr. Aminah Zawedde noted the hub is to house over 100 innovators to share  and incubate different ideas where she also tasked different youth to use the opportunity.

“Over 100startups are going to be converging here to incubate ideas, digital skilling,” Zawedde said.
