Police embarks on recruitment of over 2000 personnel, here's how you can apply



The Uganda Police force has encouraged women to apply as they launch a mass recruitment drive of over 2000 personnel. 

Below is a full statement from Police about how to apply and the minimum requirements. 

HOW TO APPLY:


Hand written applications addressed to the IGP, accompanied by certified copies of academic documents, photocopy of the National Identity Card, three (3) recent passport size photographs, Identity Card or Introductory letter from the previous school and recommendation letters from LCI, LCIII and RDC (from the respective districts of recruitment) in file folder should be delivered to the Police District/ Divisional Headquarters.not later than 18th February 2024.


 NOTE:

Impersonation or presentation of forged documents shall lead to arrest and prosecution in Courts of law.


Applicants who conceal or provide false information shall be disqualified.


Appointment into the Uganda Police Force shall be after completion of the 12 months Police Basic Training.


Female candidates are encouraged to apply.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONER POLICE CONSTABLES.


1.Must be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National ID(NIN).


2.Must have no criminal record.


3.Should be ready to undertake the requisite twelve (12) months Police Basic Training.


4. Should be physically and medically fit.


5.Should be ready to work for long hours at times under difficult conditions.


6.Should be ready to work in any part of the country.


7.Should possess good communication skills.


8.Must not be a former or serving officer in any of the Forces.


REQUIRED LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Must possess a UCE certificate or its equivalent with at least four credits including English and at least a pass in Mathematics.
