Buganda for Museveni’ campaign rallies Kyotera residents to vote NRM
The NRM leaders in Buganda region have vowed to continue popularizing the government's achievements and also seek support for President Yoweri Museveni and party flag bearers in the upcoming 2026 polls.
The team of ministers, MPs and local leaders hailing from the central region committed yesterday while at Nabbunga playgrounds in Kalisizo town council, Kyotera district as they joined the NRM Deputy Secretary Rose Namayanja in a “Buganda for Museveni” dubbed campaign.
Hosted by Kyeyune Haruna Kasolo, the State minister of microfinance, the ministers said that the NRM government has a lot more services to the people in the pipeline in addition to the already accomplished programs like the construction of over 15 health Centres in the districts, SEED schools, the poverty alleviation programs like emyooga and parish development model among others where the population is accessing cheap credit for the development of their households.
In her remarks, the Deputy Secretary General, Namayanja said the people of Buganda should better wake up to support the NRM government before they are left behind by other regions in terms of development.
“It is through the NRM MPs that services are lobbied from the government. So vote for President Museveni and the NRM members of parliament to follow up on the government promises,” Namayanja said.
“Our goal is to ensure that people in the central region vote for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and NRM flag bearers just like it was always the case in the early 2000s," Namayanja said.
Namayanja also urged the voters to choose legislators who are performers.
“We no longer want Members of Parliament who are non-performers. We need MPs who can lobby the government to ensure that services reach the people on the ground. We need MPs who can advocate for clean water, good roads, and better social services,” she said
Hon. Kyeyune Haruna Kasolo, assured the people of continued service delivery, urging them to trust NRM in the upcoming general elections.
