General Muhoozi Extends Invitation to U.S. President Trump for Historic Visit to Uganda

 

 

Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations and Chief of  Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has publicly invited former U.S. President Donald Trump to visit Uganda. 

 

The invitation came after General Muhoozi,  responded to a post on X  by Trump, in which the  U.S. leader boasted about America’s economic transformation under his leadership. 

"I love this man. He is just like me. He always takes the bull by the horns and deals with the issue,” Muhoozi wrote adding that, "I want him to visit Uganda. We will be honoured!" 

 

Trump, known for his "America First" policies and unconventional diplomacy, has not yet publicly responded to the invitation. 

 

General Muhoozi’s admiration for Trump appears to stem from their shared reputation for direct, no-nonsense leadership styles. 

 

If Trump accepts the invitation, it would mark his first visit to Uganda. The trip could draw significant attention, given Trump's global profile and Uganda’s strategic position in East Africa. 

 

No further details have been released regarding potential dates or agendas for the proposed visit. However, the invitation alone has already set social media abuzz, with Ugandans and global netizens weighing in on the possibility of a Trump-Muhoozi meeting.
