President Museveni hosts luncheon for outgoing cabinet
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Monday hosted a special luncheon at State House, Entebbe, in honor of the outgoing cabinet, where he commended the ministers for their dedication and historic contribution to the nation’s socio-economic transformation.
The event, which brought together senior government officials from the departing team, served as a formal appreciation ceremony ahead of the anticipated announcement of a new cabinet lineup for the coming term.
Addressing the gathering, President Museveni praised the cabinet for its collective role in steering Uganda to middle-income status—a long-sought economic milestone.
He noted that the achievement was not accidental but the result of deliberate policies, infrastructural investments, and sustained economic reforms implemented over the past several years.
The President also acknowledged the cabinet’s role in the recent electoral process, describing the outcome as a collective achievement for the administration.
Looking ahead, Museveni expressed confidence in continued economic growth during the coming term, urging the outgoing ministers to remain proud of their legacy while supporting the transition to new leadership.
