Sarah Kabegyesa Mulembe Nominated for NRM Primaries in Bukonzo County East

Prominent Kasese businesswoman Sarah Kabegyesa Mulembe has been officially nominated by the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to contest in the party primaries for Bukonzo County East parliamentary seat.
Announcing her candidacy, Mulembe pledged to strengthen ties between the government and the Rwenzururu Kingdom, ensuring that local voices are heard in national development programs.

Mulembe, a well-known entrepreneur and community leader, emphasized her commitment to bridging the gap between the people of Bukonzo and the central government. "My mission is to foster unity and ensure that the Rwenzururu Kingdom benefits from government programs in education, healthcare, and infrastructure," she said. "I will be a strong advocate for my people, ensuring their concerns reach the right offices."

Having built a successful business career, Mulembe says she understands the challenges faced by locals, including youth unemployment, poor road networks, and limited access to markets for farmers. "I have worked closely with communities, and I know their struggles. Now is the time to take their needs to Parliament," she stated.

Her nomination has been welcomed by NRM supporters and local leaders, who see her as a unifying figure capable of delivering tangible development. "Sarah is not just a politician; she's a leader who listens. She has the experience to represent us effectively," said a local NRM mobilizer.

With the NRM primaries approaching, Mulembe is set to campaign across Bukonzo County East, outlining her plans for job creation, improved education, and better healthcare services. If successful in the primaries, she will face off against opponents from other parties in the 2026 general elections.
